Intech Fire & Security Ltd promote positive and safe working practices with both our engineers workmanship and the training we provide to our customers.

All members of staff employed by Intech Fire & Security Ltd are trained in safe use of equipment, safe use of ladders and step ladders, manual handling, COSHH and working at height. We are passionate about personal development and to ensure that all staff continually refresh and expand their knowledge base we encourage a range of in house, external and manufacturer led training courses for both health and safety and system specific areas.

We would request that appropriate steps are made by all customers to allow our engineers to work within the HSE Guidelines in order that they can provide a professional installation that is safe to both themselves, staff on site and individuals or members of the public on site. If our engineers do not beleive a condition to be safe they will consult a manager and unsafe working conditions may result in adaptations being made or the work being stopped as appropriate.

Although Intech Fire & Security Ltd provide appropriate St Johns first aid training as required and provides first aid kits to engineers, it is assumed that joint arrangements will be provided and that responsibility will fall with the site for the provision of first aid where appropriate. Intech Fire & Security Ltd requests that if an engineer sustains an injury while on a commercial site that a copy of the incident report is made available to Intech Fire & Security Ltd on request.

It is understood that the site representative will have informed Intech Fire & Security Ltd of any known asbestos on the site and if an asbestos survey has been undertaken, please ensure that this is provided in advance of the installation to ensure safe working conditions for engineers.
